Lion King Themed Fractions with Miss Mullett

Years 5 and 6 joined Miss Mullett today to discover how many animals were at Pride Rock when Simba was first presented to the kingdom. We calculated fractions of quantities to work out how many animals of each species were there, before we worked out the total of... 260 animals! The children then recreated the scene by placing the correct amount of animals on their photo of Pride Rock with some interesting arrangements (who'd have known you'd find giraffes in trees!). What a superb day of bonkers costumes and interactive learning!
